Baby solarpunk. Poet, translator. Kentuckian, Latino. Durham NC.
I want to help build places of climate adaptation and reparations, without waiting for powerful institutions to step in. I don’t yet know what this work will look like for me, but I know I want to do it. It probably won’t be writing, at least not primarily.
Guiding lights include Octavia Butler, John Fee, Ruth Wilson Gilmore.
Poems in Narrative, The Normal School, Taco Bell Quarterly(!) and other journals. Translations in Modern Poetry in Translation, Denver Quarterly, Hayden’s Ferry and other journals.
Readings, residencies, conferences, editing
I’m grateful to have received support from the Bread Loaf Translators’ Conference, Vermont Studio Center, and other writing communities. I’ve also hosted readings.
I’ve helped startups, nonprofits and litmags work efficiently and speak clearly.
